Booking.com

Booking.com is a hotel price comparison website and started in 1997 making it one of the first websites of its kind. It is owned by Booking Holdings, which is a USA company, and the Booking.com headquarters are located in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Booking.com is a global website and is available in 43 languages. They offer price comparison for hotels worldwide.

The website lists around 30 million accommodations from more than 130,000 destinations in over 200 territories and more than 1.5 million nights are reserved every day via bookings using the website and mobile apps. Booking.com receive many complaints regarding poor service and billing issues, although most of the complaints they receive are disputing with the actual accommodation they have reserved and Booking.com act as a mediator between the hotel and the client.

Many of the consumers who complain seem to talk about hotel companies promoting offers and services through Booking.com which they refuse to uphold once you arrive to check in. With millions of bookings per week, complaints are to be expected and most consumers receive a very satisfying service through Booking.com. If you do have any problems with your booking, Booking.com recommend you contact them as soon as possible so they can help you to resolve the issue. Their customer support team are very helpful.

The hotel prices are generally good value for money, although it is possible to find slightly better prices for some hotels via other price comparison websites depending on your destination and journey dates.
